What this guide covers

Price depends on size, resolution (HD vs FHD), panel type (TN vs IPS), pin count and brand.

The cheapest listing is not comparable if it is a lower resolution or TN panel.

Match the panel part number, not just the laptop model, to avoid wrong orders.

What changes the price

A 15.6" HD (1366×768) TN panel costs less than an FHD (1920×1080) IPS panel of the same size. Touch panels and high-refresh gaming panels cost more again. So two “laptop screens” for the same model can be priced very differently because they are different panels.

  • Size (14" / 15.6" etc.)
  • Resolution: HD vs FHD
  • Panel: TN vs IPS
  • Touch / high-refresh add cost

Match before you compare price

Read the panel part number on the back of the old screen and match size, resolution, pin count (30 vs 40), connector position and mounting. Comparing prices only makes sense between panels that actually fit your laptop — a cheap panel that does not match is no saving.

Questions customers ask

Why do laptop screen prices vary so much?

Because listings cover different panels: HD vs FHD, TN vs IPS, touch vs non-touch, standard vs high-refresh. Compare only panels that match your laptop’s specs.

How do I get the right screen for my model?

Match the panel part number on the old screen plus size, resolution, pin count and connector position. The laptop model alone is not enough because one model can use several panels.
