What actually decides laptop battery price
Two batteries for the same laptop can have very different prices because of capacity and cell quality. Higher watt-hour (Wh) ratings store more charge and cost more. Original (OEM) batteries carry the manufacturer brand and usually cost the most; compatible batteries built to the same specification cost less.
In India, you will typically see a wide range for the same model because listings mix OEM, compatible, and refurbished stock. The cheapest listing is not always comparable: check the Wh rating and whether it is new, not the price alone.
- Capacity in Wh (higher = longer runtime)
- Original vs compatible vs refurbished
- New cell condition, not old stock
- Warranty length and return support
