What is the Lenovo slim-tip charger?
It is Lenovo’s rectangular charging connector with a small pin inside, used on many ThinkPad and IdeaPad models. It is different from the older round-pin and from USB-C.

Does my Lenovo charge over USB-C?
Many newer ThinkPad and Yoga models charge via USB-C Power Delivery. If your laptop has no barrel port and charges from a USB-C port, use a PD charger of the correct wattage.
How do I know my laptop charger wattage?
Read the original adapter’s label. It shows output like “19.5V 3.34A” — multiply volts by amps to get watts (here ~65W). Buy the same wattage or higher, never lower, and keep the same voltage and pin type.
Can I use a higher-wattage charger safely?
Yes, if the voltage and connector match. A 90W charger on a laptop that came with 65W is safe — the laptop only draws what it needs. A lower-wattage charger is the one to avoid.
What is the difference between barrel-pin and Type-C chargers?
Older laptops use a round barrel pin in a specific diameter. Newer thin laptops charge over USB-C Power Delivery. They are not interchangeable; check which port your laptop uses and the required PD wattage for Type-C.
My laptop says “plugged in, not charging” — is it the charger?
